Herb Bean Dip

4 cups Cooked beans, I like a mix

1/3 cup 50/50 Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Avocado Oil

2 each Large Garlic Cloves, minced

Pinch of Sea Salt

1/2 bunch Chopped Cilantro

1/2 bunch Sliced Scallions

10 each Sliced Basil Leaves

Juice of 1 Lime

Blend everything in the food processor except the oil for 1-3 minutes or until smooth.

Slowly drizzle in the oil and salt to taste.


Fantastic with raw and roasted vegetables.

A spread for wraps.

Of course tortilla chips


7 layer bean dip


  • I used my insta-pot to cook a bean mix of black, kidney, black eye, and pinto. I add fire roasted peppers, black pepper, chicken stock/water, olive oil, and salt.

  • Cool beans completely before blending ingredients.

  • I like cooking my own beans because you have control of the salt and sugar added.
